Fire protection sliding doors

The fire protection sliding doors from Tortec offer a high-quality and versatile solution in all building areas and ensure reliable separation of large fire compartments.

Fire and smoke protection

Sliding fire doors are tested in accordance with European fire protection requirements and comply with product standards EN 16034 and EN 13241, which means that Tortec products have a CE mark and may be used in any country within the EU.
To ensure your safety in the event of fire, Tortec fire protection doors meet fire protection requirements up to EI2120, depending on the design.

Smoke-tight fire protection for safe escape and rescue routes is recommended for all areas in which people need to be protected from the spread of life-threatening smoke gases in the event of a fire. Tortec sliding fire protection doors are also available in smoke protection (S200) and tight-closing (Sa) versions.

Multipurpose

For areas where fire protection is not required, such as for external doors, Tortec doors in the multi-purpose version offer a high-quality and elegant solution for closing the opening.

Inlet types

Tortec sliding doors offer complete installation flexibility with the various types of entry.

  • normal inlet: with inlet profile on the weight box. The weight box can also be positioned in the parking area as an option.

  • butt-jointed: the door opens butt-jointed onto the wall without an inlet profile, thus widening the clear passageway and the architecture of the building (such as exposed concrete) is not disturbed by an inlet profile.

Surface finishes and colors

Door leaf elements are supplied as standard in galvanized sheet steel with a high-quality pearlgrain surface.

The following surfaces and colors are available for an aesthetic touch:

Equipment for maximum flexbility

Wicket doors

Sliding fire protection doors from Tortec can be optionally equipped with integrated wicket doors. This rebated door construction without a threshold allows people to pass through quickly and safely without having to open the entire door. A 22 mm high threshold is available as an option, ideal for exit ramps in underground garages. Depending on requirements, up to two wicket doors can be integrated per door leaf.

Wicket door monitoring via radio enables reliable monitoring of the door position. Radio transmission takes place via a magnetic contact and a transmitter in the door leaf, with a separate receiver for wall mounting. Bolt switch contacts and electric strikes are also available as options.

Equipped with standard HDC 35-1 slide channel overhead door closers or optionally integrated concealed overhead door closers, as well as 3-dimensionally adjustable hinges, Tortec wicket doors offer maximum functionality and are easy to adjust. A mortise lock in accordance with DIN 18250 is fitted as standard, with the option of panic functions in accordance with EN 179 or EN 1125 for wicket doors that open into the reveal.

Glazing variants

Glazing profiles for wicket doors and door elements in multi-purpose and fire protection class EI230, EI260 and EI290 are made of galvanized steel and powder-coated to match the door leaf surface as standard.

Alternatively, the profiles are also available in brushed stainless steel V2A (1.4301) or powder-coated in RAL and special colors.

Wicket door glazing

Wicket doors with round glazing with a diameter of 400 mm are available as standard.

Rectangular glazing is available in

  • square 400 x 400 mm
  • rectangular 400 x 600 mm

Operator solutions

Tortec sliding fire doors are also available with optional operator solutions that enable automated operation. Our patented freewheel unlocking system automatically unlocks the operator in the event of a fire, so that the door closes reliably with counterweights and ensures the required fire protection.

Operator SupraMatic HT

The SupraMatic HT is a powerful operator for sliding fire protection doors that enables fast opening and closing in daily operation.

This operator is suitable for doors with a door leaf weight of up to 800 kg and a clear passage width of up to 6035 mm. It is conveniently operated via an optional hand-held transmitter or push-button in “open-close” impulse mode.

The SuptraMatic HT is equipped with an internal control unit. A universal adapter board (UAP) or the 360 control unit are optionally available for any additional equipment required.

Operator ITO 500 FU

The ITO 500 FU is a powerful operator for sliding fire protection doors, which also enables fast opening and closing in daily operation.

This operator is particularly suitable for large and heavy doors with a door leaf weight of up to 2500 kg and a clear passage width of up to 8000 mm. The ITO 500 FU can be operated both in dead man's mode and in “open-close” impulse mode, which offers more flexibility for different applications.

It is operated via an optional hand-held transmitter or push-button, which makes daily operation convenient. The ITO 500 FU is supplied with the 545 control unit as standard.

Recess and ceiling flaps

Recess flaps allow the openings of the entrance and exit to be unobtrusively concealed on sliding gates with recess systems. The flaps are available either galvanized with a primer coating, in a high-quality powder coating in color or as a stainless steel version.

The niche flaps are available in two versions, each with a maximum opening angle of 90° or 180°.

The 180° version offers the advantage, particularly for small doors in combination with wicket doors, that the door opening is not impaired by the open flap.

Overhead flaps are used to cover the lintel area. The combination of recess and overhead flaps thus offers complete concealment of the door frame construction.

Hold-open devices

Hold-open devices play a crucial role in building safety. They ensure that doors and gates can be conveniently held open in everyday life and close automatically in the event of a fire to ensure safe smoke and fire compartmentation. Whether in public buildings, offices or industrial buildings - our hold-open systems offer you reliable solutions that meet the highest safety standards. Discover our innovative systems and let us convince you of our expertise in the field of fire protection.

Optical-acoustic warning system OAW-ECO

The OAW-ECO is an audiovisual warning system with integrated capacitor buffering. The unit requires the connection of an on-site fire alarm system with 24 V DC, so there is no DIBt approval. The integrated capacitor buffering enables the visualization of the closing process even during a power failure. Optionally, a second OAW-ECO without triggering function can be added to warn on the opposite side of the installation.

FSA-Basis and FSA-Plus

The FSA-Basis hold-open system control panel combines the power supply, visualization, fire detector evaluation, manual release button and reset device in one compact housing. It offers the option of connecting conventional and wireless fire detectors and magnetic clamps, as well as connection to a central fire alarm system. Two separate solenoid outputs make it possible to connect recess dampers with a time delay. A signal transmitter is integrated for local acoustic signaling, which can be extended by an external signaling device (FSA-OAW + KSL combination signal light) to visualize a door movement.

The FSA-Plus hold-open system control unit is extended by an integrated battery backup and a holding magnet output. This enables the door to be held open and an audiovisual warning to be given when the door is closed, even in the event of a power failure. The additional magnetic hold-open output enables the safety-relevant connection of overhead and recess flaps with a closing sequence control.

FAA-Plus, 230 V

The FAA-Plus hold-open system for driverless transport systems AGVs for sliding gates combines the power supply, battery buffering, visualization, fire detector evaluation, manual release button and reset device in a single housing. It offers the option of connecting conventional and wireless fire detectors, holding magnets and connection to a fire alarm system. The battery-buffered power supply ensures that the door can be kept open or closed in the event of a power failure.

A signal transmitter is integrated for local acoustic signaling, which can be extended by an external combination signal light (KSL) to visualize a door movement.
